Enclosure 03:58
You were out of my control You were perfect You gave me permission To be the dirt in the fall The distant thunder A road renewed All the hard soles are thumping Oh now I recall how loudly they sing We mourn you enclosure You were safe, you were quiet, you were loving We fought through devotion You were cold and we were running But we love you, love you So real and unforetold (That) you would find us And give us a mission To kiss and love and to hold How could you want it to be Another dawn, another day? How could you want it to be over? We mourn you enclosure You were safe, you were quiet, you were loving We fought through devotion We were ready to embrace it But we're running, running How could you want it to be... How could you want it to be over? We mourn you enclosure You were safe, you were quiet, you were loving We fought through devotion You were cold and we were running But we love you, love you

The Embrace 03:42
Carry a mirror To see the world And anything you want Pick up that feather Between your finger and your thumb Let your hair grow In to vines, in to vines Studded with flowers and occupied With holding your head In to mine, in to mine (Ooh) embrace, and embrace the embrace Scream like a mammal [Like] it’s you and me And nobody else Running like a river That’s headed out to the sea to forget Let your hair grow In to vines, in to vines Studded with flowers and occupied With holding your head In to mine, in to mine (Ooh) embrace, and embrace the embrace Carry a mirror To see the world And anything you want Let your hair grow In to vines, in to vines Studded with flowers and occupied With holding your head In to mine, in to mine (Ooh) embrace, and embrace the embrace

about

The battle of nature vs modernity is ever present, and I’m drawn to the tactile and the dramatic of both sides of the coin. Perhaps my eco-anxiety also just wants to find a way to unite them.

The sounds of whirling water, clinking metal, knocking wood and characterful analog synths permeate this EP. Couple this with urban-tinged beats, eerily half-comprehendible vocal samples, and influences including Kate Bush, The Eurythmics, Japan and Delia Derbyshire.
